A Design Studio for the Detailed

  • Interior Designer

    Washington, DC

In addition to assisting the team in winning work, the right candidate will be involved in the management of the project, overseeing the work of others during each phase as appropriate, maintaining and preserving the clients program, and balancing leadership duties. Designers will participate in the production of work product and client deliverables for all phases of the project. As a participant in some management efforts a Designer may be asked to create firm standards or processes, prepare training, assist in proposal and marketing efforts, and oversight of more junior staff. Designers will be accountable for the work product produced by less experienced team members prior to their submission to the quality control team. Designers will be asked to mentor junior designers and designers as they learn the business. This will include being available as a resource when they have questions and occasionally assisting the senior staff in preparing and presenting internal training sessions. Designers will also foster client relationships where possible and participate in interviews for potential projects. For these reasons a designer must be poised and well spoken, comfortable presenting to others.
