  • Project Manager

    Position Overview

    The Project Manager/Team Leader is responsible managing all phases of the project, including project set-up, design, and construction administration. This individual plays a critical leadership role within Collective Architecture and ensures all projects conform to contract requirements.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships

    • Create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and project requirements

    • Manage project scheduling, staffing/productivity, budgets and set-up with clients, sub-contractors, vendors and consultants

    • Manage and track financial performance of projects

    • Prepare project proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, and coordinate bidding process

    • Oversee and ensure projects adhere to contract requirements

    • Select and manage talent and resources for projects. Providing mentoring, coaching and development to talent resources

    • Assist in facilitating & producing accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of project

    • Provide timely positive and constructive feedback to project resources and project updates to principals

    • Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction

    • Utilize hand and 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts. Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings and construction drawings

    • Participate in the preparation of presentations, design drawings and details

    • Perform additional duties and/or assist with other projects as needed

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    • Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience, including demonstrated success as a project manager

    • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field. Master’s degree is preferred

    • LEED accreditation a plus

    • Architectural or Interior Design Registration required

    • Prior experience leading, managing and mentoring multiple project teams

    • Experience with overseeing the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancy

    • Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility on various project types. Strong abilities in managing fees, schedules and staffing resources

    • Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques

    • Extensive knowledge of architectural principles and practices

    • Strong understanding of technical regulations and related code compliance

    • Experience in design and planning standards and FF&E procurement principles

    • Advanced technical and computer skills. High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Suite

    • Strong leadership and management skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

    • Exceptional organizational and planning skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-up

    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage and handle difficult situations with tact, grace and a high degree of professionalism

  • Senior Project Architect

    Position Overview

    The Senior Project Architect is responsible for providing team leadership for all aspects of project process phases, including finished plans, specification, and material selections. The Sr. Project Architect ensures all design intent is incorporated into the construction document. This individual is responsible for managing all project related consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Provide team leadership for the technical arm of the project

    • Produce accurate technical and contract documentation for permit and construction documents

    • Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction

    • Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples

    • Manage resources and consultants related to project, including regulatory agencies

    • Utilize hand and 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts. Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings and construction drawings

    • Assist in managing project budgets, client expectations, and team staffing

    • Participate in the preparation of presentations, design drawings and details

  • Project Designer

    Position Overview

    The Project Designer primary responsibility is to perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation. The Project Designer is responsible for architectural design projects and often coordinates project design efforts, which includes developing planning and creative-design concepts for projects.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting

    • Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction

    • Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts

    • Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators

    • Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples

    • Assist in managing project budgets, client expectations, and team staffing

    • Prepare presentation and design drawings and details

    • Perform additional duties and/or assist with other projects as needed
